Most car break-ins aren’t like the movies or the footage you see on the internet. Most vehicle entry is quiet, boring, and methodical. Thieves need to enter many vehicles to outweigh the risks and to find something of value.
When you receive an alert in real-time, you can take action in the moment to prevent theft or destruction of your property and your neighbors. Our device doesn’t just deter entry, it takes a picture and sends it to you in real-time. Our device doesn’t just alarm if someone enters it; it takes a video and sends it to you in real-time. When you receive a picture from a Deterrent Event and you don’t recognize the person in it, you can call the police or neighborhood patrol. If you saw the picture after extracting an SD memory card from the device a day later, there’s nothing you can do. It would just be evidence in a crime report.
Given an infinite amount of time, thieves can disable any alarm system, kill switch, or theft deterrent. We are constantly creating more efficient code that will consume less energy and take better pictures and video. We are also creating new features and functionality. You only get the benefits of the new code if we can get it onto your device safely! To get this code onto the processors inside of the device, we use over the air updates that we can oversee and manage. If the update doesn’t work for some reason, we can easily roll it back to the prior versions (multiple processors) that did work.
Professional Monitoring Plans (Coming Late 2024)
With the Keep Professional Monitoring Service, our trained specialists will respond to every event that your Keep Device senses. In addition to sending a notification to your Keep App, our specialists will review pictures, video, and data from all events. They can confirm the nature of the event (break-in, accident, false alarm) and then call you to alert you of the event and send all necessary info to the authorities for a high priority dispatch. With such high stakes, every second counts. Don't worry about missing a notification knowing that our Professional Monitoring Service is there for you 24/7.
Expertise
When an incident occurs, our dispatcher has to quickly figure out the nature and urgency of the incident, dispatch the appropriate response, and remain calm while giving the customer instructions for what to do until the first responders arrive. It’s a fast-paced job with no room for error. Therefore, dispatchers must have proper experience and possess excellent communication skills.

When there is an emergency, rest assured that our dispatchers will be calm under pressure, properly assess your situation, and act in your best interest to bring the situation to a successful outcome, guided by your specific instructions for how you want situations handled. They have experience working with urgent care centers, clinics, hospitals, police and fire stations, and ambulance units.

Our dispatchers must be well-trained to understand police and medical terms and know how to handle emergencies. And they are screened for excellent listening and speaking skills. At times, they must speak with authority and persuasion to achieve the outcomes needed on your behalf. In all types of emergencies, our dispatchers will remain calm, helpful, and empathetic.
Immediacy
Real-time information about you and your situation is provided to our dispatchers: video & audio, global positioning system (GPS) longitude and latitude, entry event beginning & ending time, and accompanying information about deterrent events - GPS coordinates & picture data. Any new information generated from your device will be sent to them if new developments occur after they begin handling your case. They use only the most updated information to take action on your behalf.

We manage customers’ information with complete accuracy and care, handle all incidents with professionalism, and utilize HIPAA-compliant systems. Generally, that means, we (i) ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all electronic protected health information (e-PHI) created, received, maintained or transmitted; (ii) identify and protect against reasonably anticipated threats to the security or integrity of the information; (iii) protect against reasonably anticipated, impermissible uses or disclosures; and (iv) ensure compliance by our workforce. All of our dispatchers are required to participate in HIPAA training programs and are annually recertified.
